I am a passionate host and love meeting new people.
As a graduate engineer in land conservation, I worked as a garden architect in Wiesbaden for 3 1/2 years, then ran several shops for rural living and garden decoration for 25 years, which ultimately had to give way to the pressure of online trading.
After running a guesthouse and managing holiday apartments for 1 1/2 years, I took over a cafe in Bacharach and successfully pampered my guests for three years. At the end of July 2019, I gave up the cafe 'Die Lurelei' because the homeowner has other plans for use.
The opportunity arose to rent two apartments in the neighboring house right next to my old farmhouse in Bacharach-Henschhausen, which I have now set up as two beautiful, individual holiday apartments.
I myself came to the Middle Rhine Valley 30 years ago looking for a farmhouse and found my dream house on the Heights above Bacharach. Even after all this time, I still enjoy the fantastic view of the Rhine Valley every day, the changing moods over the seasons, the nature, peace and friendliness of the people here. Let yourself be enchanted by this special area, the hospitality of the people here and a special holiday home.

Lots of space for families, friends, groups. 2 double rooms (one with an additional single bed), open sleeping gallery in the living-dining room with a king-size double bed and a queen-size double bed, two pull-out sofas in the living room, a large bathroom with shower and bathtub, fully equipped kitchen, 16 sqm terrace. Fully glazed gable in the living-dining room with a dream view.
RHEINGOLD for 2-4 people with 50 square meters in the attic
Cozy apartment with 2 rooms (1x double bed, 2x sofa bed in the living room 1.40 x 2 m), open kitchen area with dining area, large bathroom with shower. The apartment has a seat in the courtyard. Both apartments are furnished in a modern country house style with vintage accents and are well equipped. The apartments can only be reached by car. Taxi company, also with large taxis, in Bacharach. 5 km by car to Bacharach and Oberwesel. There are supermarkets, restaurants, wineries, bakers, banks, tourist information, boat docks, doctors. I am happy to give tips, recommendations and help with questions and requests.
Check in 3:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m., the key is in an agreed location. An earlier check-in is possible upon request and subject to availability.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in the apartments. Only on the terrace is allowed. If smoking was carried out in the apartment, a fine of €500 must be paid as the apartment must then be cleaned with an ozone device. Any loss of rent resulting from this will also be billed.
Dogs are welcome. Per dog €3/day, from 4 days a flat rate of €15.
Parties/events are not permitted.
Quiet time between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.
